About Los Lagos Golf Course
Los Lagos Golf Course is a 9-hole municipal course in East San Jose, providing accessible golf at a price point that makes the game available to a broad cross-section of the local community. The flat, walkable layout is one of the most affordable rounds anywhere in the South Bay, and the short format — nine holes on relatively open terrain — makes it a practical choice for beginners working on fundamentals, junior golfers building confidence, and experienced players who want a quick outing without the time commitment of a full 18.
The course plays as a par 35 from the back tees. The terrain is level throughout, which means less time hunting for balls in difficult lies and more time focusing on the shots themselves. This makes Los Lagos a consistent pick for first-time golfers and for players returning after time away from the game. East San Jose is an underserved market for golf, and Los Lagos serves as the neighborhood's home course for a large local following that doesn't have easy access to the more expensive facilities to the west.
Green fees are $20–$35, among the lowest in Silicon Valley. The course is operated by the City of San Jose as part of its municipal golf program, which also oversees Santa Teresa Golf Club. Los Lagos doesn't have the conditioning or course variety of the 18-hole facilities in the South Bay, but at this price it doesn't need to — it serves a different and equally important function in the local golf ecosystem.
