Blackhawk Country Club

Blackhawk Country Club is a private, fully gated 36-hole club in Danville, set against the foothills of Mount Diablo. Established in 1979 as the centerpiece of the Blackhawk community, it opened its first course in 1981 and today offers two championship layouts — the Lakeside and the Falls — along with two distinct clubhouses.

Both courses were designed by the team of Bruce Devlin and Robert von Hagge and play to par 72. The routings wind through mature landscaping and luxury homes, with water features, natural rock outcroppings and dramatic elevation changes that reward accurate, thoughtful play. The Lakeside measures roughly 6,900 yards from the back tees, with the Falls a comparable championship test.

Blackhawk earned national recognition by hosting LPGA Tour events through the 1990s and 2000s, including the Samsung World Championship and the Longs Drugs / CVS Pharmacy LPGA Challenge. Beyond golf, members enjoy a recently added multimillion-dollar fitness and wellness center, tennis, swimming, bocce and a full calendar of social events.

Membership is open to residents and non-residents alike, but play is reserved for members and their guests — there is no public tee-time access. Prospective members can arrange a tour through the club directly.
