About Corica Park South Course
Corica Park South Course underwent a remarkable transformation in 2018 when renowned architect Rees Jones reimagined this former flat, featureless municipal course into an Australian Sandbelt-themed links layout near the Oakland International Airport. The result is one of the most dramatic improvements in Bay Area golf history.
The redesigned course features wide, undulating fairways, dramatic bunkering, and firm, fast conditions that reward creative shot-making. The Australian Sandbelt aesthetic — inspired by courses like Kingston Heath and Royal Melbourne — gives the South Course a look and feel unlike anything else in the Bay Area. Wind plays a significant role, making club selection a constant challenge.
Corica Park's 45-hole facility also includes the North Course and a 9-hole par-3 course, making it one of the most comprehensive public golf destinations in Northern California. The modern clubhouse features excellent dining and a well-stocked pro shop. This is an absolute must-play for any serious Bay Area golfer.
