About Skylinks at Buchanan Fields

Skylinks at Buchanan Fields is a public nine-hole, par-31 course on Contra Costa County airport land in Concord, originally designed by Robert Muir Graves and opened in 1955. Relaunched in October 2023 under new local ownership, it has been reinvented as a community-focused, beginner- and family-friendly club with Mt. Diablo views and a notably welcoming, casual atmosphere.

The course measures roughly 1,982 yards from the longest tees with a slope of 83 and three sets of tees, so it is approachable for newcomers while still giving stronger players a brisk warm-up. As a short executive nine it is ideal for a fast round, a first round, or working on your game without committing to a full eighteen.

The standout feature is a large, lighted driving range that stays open late into the evening, with new mats and balls, plus chipping and putting greens wrapped with a practice bunker and a dedicated kids' practice area. The pro shop is known for a deep beer selection — more than 100 options — and the facility hosts First Tee programs and community events throughout the year.

Green fees are budget-friendly, with a nine-hole round and cart running in the mid-$40s and less for walking, and the course and range are open early to late daily. Tee times can be booked online through GolfNow or directly with the course. Its central location off Concord Avenue near Highway 242 makes it an easy stop for casual East Bay golf and practice.
